1. Sensor Placement: To use a pulse oximeter, place your fingertip (or another preferred site like the earlobe or toe) inside the device’s sensor.
2. Light Emission: granzia pulse oximeter emits two different types of light—red and infrared—through the skin and blood vessels.
3. Light Absorption: Hemoglobin, the protein responsible for transporting oxygen in your blood, absorbs varying amounts of these lights. Oxygenated hemoglobin absorbs more infrared light, while deoxygenated hemoglobin absorbs more red light.
4. Calculating Oxygen Saturation: By analyzing the amount of light absorption, the granzia pulse oximeter calculates your oxygen saturation level, which is expressed as a percentage (SpO2).
5. Pulse Rate Measurement: In addition to SpO2, the device also measures your pulse rate by detecting the rhythmic changes in light absorption caused by your heartbeat.
6. Display: The results are displayed on the pulse oximeter’s screen, typically in real-time.
